How to soothe a sore throat

If you have a sore dry throat right now and its really annoying you, here are some home remedies you can try out, if you dont want to take medicine and by drowsy:


Most sore throats are caused by viruses and are usually accompanied by a cold or flu. But they can also be caused by bacteria, allergies and environmental irritation. Here's how you can get rid of the soreness naturally.


* Use a vaporizer or humidifier in your bedroom.


* Gargle with warm salt water (1/4 tsp. salt in 8-oz. glass of water) several times a day.

* Increase your fluid intake.




* Drink tea or even plain hot water with honey.



* Mix honey and lemon juice together and drink.



* Use zinc lozenges for healing and pain relief.



* Take a high-potency multivitamin and echinacea to build up your immune system.



* Reduce exposure to dust, cigarette smoke and other chemical irritants.



* Avoid very spicy or hot foods.

* Pop one or two cloves of those in your mouth, Just hold it in your mouth until the saliva has dissolved some of the essential oils. Within 10 or 15 minutes you should feel some relief.
